1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
UHT Milk is obtained from raw milk, normalised to determined fat content, and then treated with a sterilization UHT process. Aseptically packed product.
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Packaging and transport
2.1.1. A direct packaging of UHT Milk is a carton which is made of multilayer laminate with aluminium foil of a capacity 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 l or other.
A direct packaging are placed on cardboard paletts.
A direct packaging are allowed for packaging food products in accordance with Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 (as amended).
2.1.2. Transport
Carried out only by means of transport which protects products from contamination and damage at temperatures between +1°C and +25°C. The transportation is authorized to transport foodstuffs and has valid
sanitary documents.
2.2. Labelling
A direct packaging of UHT milk is marked with:
• Name and address of the producer,
• Name of product,
• Type of heat treatment: UHT
• Expiry date „lot no.at the top of packaging”,
• Fat content,
• Net weight,
3. Genetically modified organisms (GMO)
Provisions of Regulations (EC) 1829/2003 and 1830/2003 of European Parliament and Council concern labeling permit and ability to track food and feed products produced from genetically modified organisms, they are met and product does not require any special labeling.
4. Ionising radiation Provisions of Directive 1999/2 and Directive 1999/3 concerning foodstuffs and food ingredients treated with ionizing radiation and ingredients of foodstuffs treated with ionizing radiation they are met and product does not require any special labeling.
5. Storage
UHT milk should be stored in dry, clean, warehouse, no longer than 7 months from production date, at temperatures between +1°C and +25°C. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 48 hours.
